Housing is one of the most pressing political issues of our time. In many places, there is a shortage of new homes and the existing housing stock requires too much energy, most of it fossil. How could it be possible in the long term to make housing more cost- and resource-efficient and also more climate-friendly? With “Wohnwelten SH 2042”, the EKSH is once again venturing a look into the future with a scenario process - linked to “Energielandschaften 2042” - in order to think ahead with the support of Z_punkt to today's challenges and potential solutions. In a participatory process with experts from the housing and construction industry, municipalities, science and NGOs, three different scenarios for the housing and construction of the future in Schleswig-Holstein were developed: „Morgen verdichtet wohnen“, „Morgen einfach wohnen“ and „Morgen hyperflexibel wohnen“.
