Narrative einer erfolgreichen Transformation zu einem ressourcenschonenden und treibhausgasneutralen Deutschland

VISION OF A CLIMATE-FRIENDLY FUTURE

Narratives of a successful transformation to a resource-efficient and greenhouse gas-neutral Germany

The publication is the final report for the Federal Environment Agency project, which Z_punkt led together with MediaCompany, sociodimensions and Consideo from 2019 to 2023. The report describes the methodological approach and the results of the three work packages. The overarching goal of the project was to develop a target image for the year 2050, which uses a narrative to show how Germany has succeeded in transforming itself into a sustainable and greenhouse gas-neutral society and economy. What can a liveable and climate-friendly Germany look like? The narrative is supported by visual elements, which together create a cinematically animated "hidden object picture". To develop the narrative, existing relevant studies and sources were first reviewed - and evaluated for possible narrative elements. In addition, the method of causal layered analysis was used to develop narrative elements for individual fields of action. The project has a bridging function between analytical research and creative storytelling. The various sub-elements of the narrative show how the individual fields of action must interlock systemically in order to achieve the overarching goal.
