In a joint project of the EEA and its country network Eionet, Z_punkt was responsible for the conception and implementation of the process to construct scenarios of a sustainable Europe. In this context, the realization of a sustainable Europe requires a far-reaching societal change that involves all areas of economy and society. In this context, Z_punkt, together with the EEA and its country network Eionet, has developed a series of scenarios that provide engaging, plausible, and contrasting visions of what a sustainable Europe might look like in 2050. By helping to open up thinking about how the future might evolve, the futures provide valuable tools for forward-looking analysis and assessment for policy actors at European and national levels.
