The BMBF's funding measure REGION.innovativ supports regions in addressing new research and innovation topics and establishing the necessary collaboration with new partners. In an accompanying research project on the future of work in structurally weak regions, Z_punkt first created a future-oriented working definition of structural weakness and then, in a participatory process together with the funded projects, developed four scenarios describing the dominant paradigms of working environments and the perceptions of structural weakness in the regions. To make the scenarios even more tangible, Z_punkt also developed Future Spotlights for the individual funding regions.
